What is the aim of the Scheme?
- The Scheme is designed to pay for the continued education of a
child of a member of HM Armed Forces at a fee paying school in the
event of the death of an insured parent.
- The Scheme will pay 50% of the selected benefit for university
or college tuition fees up to the age of 23 in circumstances when
an insured parent dies and the child is older than 15.
- Additional cover can be taken out for specified Critical
Illnesses.
Who can apply for the Scheme?
- All serving members of HM Armed Forces (including Reserves,
Gurkhas and Foreign & Commonwealth personnel) who have children
attending UK fee paying schools.
- The scheme is not restricted to those drawing Continuity of
Education Allowance, although this may determine what level of
cover you choose.
- The spouse of a member of HM Armed Forces can join the scheme
as a second applicant and receive a 20% discount.
